Description
Perennial, woody, erect evergreen shrub, up to 3m tall. Stems and leaves exude a milky latex when broken. The plant grows in mountain valleys, in or near running water or streams

Distribution in UAE
Common and widespread in the Hajar Mountains

Flowering & Fruiting
September – March

Uses 
The leaves of this plant are used as an insecticide, and to treat skin itch, ulcers, and tumors (Jongbloed et al. 2003, Sakkir et al. 2012)
